How to Create a Live Report in Oracle Responsys

Live report is a kind of journalism that requires the reporter to be present at the scene of the event being reported. It is a form of reporting that, when done well, can be incredibly powerful and engaging to viewers or listeners. It requires two key skills from the reporter: the ability to prepare and the ability to adapt to the situation in which the live report is made. The goal is to provide the audience with accurate and credible information about a particular event in the most clear and concise way possible. It is important to avoid sensationalism, yellow journalism and superficiality in live reports.

The events that are considered worthy of live reporting often have the elements of unpredictability and high importance. These are usually sudden events caused by natural factors, such as various types of weather disasters, serious traffic accidents or leaks of substances that can cause material damage. Events caused by human factors, such as armed attacks or hostage crisis can also be subject to live reporting.

To create a Live report, first create a standard report as you would normally do, gathering all of the info you want to include for your client. Then, select the projects, tags or users you’d like to appear in the report and click Save. When you’re ready to share, click Generate Distributable Live Report URL to generate a link to the live report. This link will allow the recipient to view metrics from the report without needing to log into Oracle Responsys.
